Coroner: Body was missing man

  BEAR GAP – Michael Kenney died from drowning — The body found Wednesday at the Weiser State Forest has been identified as the subject of a weeklong search. Northumberland County Coroner James Kelley confirmed Thursday afternoon that 55-year-old Michael Kenney of Point Township was identified through autopsy. Kelley says preliminary results show he died as a result of drowning. His body was found in the Bear Gap Reservoir. The incident remains under investigation by the coroner’s office and Mount Carmel Township Police Department. A final ruling on the cause of death will be made at the conclusion of toxicology testing and investigation. No foul play is suspected. (Codi Jade) Follow
